Refund policy

We make every effort to ensure that artwork and items are in excellent condition and that photographs on this site represent the final product as closely as practical. Merchandise and prints will vary in colour from mock-ups and images shown, please consider this before purchase.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

We make every effort to ensure appropriate and thorough packing of items purchased, however, should an item be received with any damage from transit, please contact us within 30 days of purchase at hello@chrissmall.art. We ask that you include photographs of the damaged item where possible.

It may be that products or partial refunds are offered in some cases to address any issues highlighted, in place of a replacement. This is at the discretion of the artist.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Due to the majority of products being original one-off artwork, often in handmade frames, we are unable to accept returns based on perception of colours used or framing. We encourage all customers to review available photographs of items and to contact the Store before completing any purchase if you have any questions.

We ask our customer to appreciate that hand-made wooden frames are susceptible to minor marks and to consider this before requesting a return or refund.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Commissions

We supply photographs of any commission prior to posting and payment of any remaining balance. You have the opportunity to request any amendments or edits at this point. As commissions are one-off unique pieces, these are not eligible for return.

Return Process

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@chrissmall.art. A returns address will be made available if required. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return, and having it confirmed, will not be accepted.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Exchanges

We are unable to offer exchanges on the majority of our items, as they are traditionally original one-off artworks.

European Union 14 day cooling off period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

The above does not apply to commissioned pieces, which are exempt from the cooling off period.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method as soon as possible. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
